We took a trip to the Great Sand Dunes located in Alamosa, Colorado. The weather was hot, hot, hot. It helped to begin the hike up the dunes early in the morning. The view as we walked up the dunes was phenomenal! It seemed like a long trek up the mountains of sand to one of the highest peaks. However, sledding and running down from the tippy top of the highest peak made it worth every step!
